Real Estate and Construction Services

The real estate industry revolves around dynamic entity choices, and changing market and tax reporting issues. To be successful, it is critical to understand the sensitivity to outside market conditions and fluctuations.

At Stockman Kast Ryan + Co., we understand the unique diversity of this market and have experience working with new home builders, commercial construction companies, land developers, and commercial management and sales companies in Colorado Springs and throughout southern Colorado. Each of our partners has over 20 years of experience in real estate and construction, and has developed skills in structuring entities and dealing with ongoing tax planning issues.

Finally, in order to stay up to date with current regulations and better understand the needs of this industry, our partners and staff attend local, regional and national conferences, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants National Real Estate Conference.

Real Estate and Construction services include:

  • Tax planning
  • Like-kind exchanges
  • Analysis of all available options to select the appropriate entity and accounting method
  • Land banking and cost segregation analysis
